台風20号が接近しています。
10：30の予報では今夜房総半島をかすめそうです。

私が住むこの地域はかなりの大型台風でも被害が少ない気がします。

台風と聞くたびに思い出すのは、子供の頃多摩川が氾濫しないかと恐れていたこと。
救助ボート。
大量の砂袋。
台風が去った後、巣を流され川の上をくるくる飛び回る親鳥たちの淋しげな姿。
堤防に立って爪痕をじっと眺めるたくさんの人々。

今は治水が進み、あの頃住んでいた地域もひどい水害はなくなったと聞きます。
もしかすると今いるここもかつては苦労があったのかもしれません。
