私たちがSOHOとして歩き出したのは今から7年前の12月でした。
右も左もわからないまま

「とにかく仕事がしたい！」

と思って、片っ端から応募メールを送っていました。

大抵の企業は、SOHOとしての経験がない私たちを採用してはくれませんでした。
そんな中でただ2社、採用してくださった企業がありました。

ひとつはデータ入力専門の会社。
そしてもうひとつはWEB制作の会社。

データ入力の仕事はとても煩雑で毎日が戦いのようでしたが、他に何ができるわけでもない私たちは必死でその仕事に食らいつきました。
単価が驚くほど安いのですが、皆誇りを持って取り組んだ甲斐あって、常に98％以上の精度の納品物を上げ、絶大な信頼をいただいていました。
この時のノウハウは今も仕事に活きていますし、仕事に対する心構えなど大切なことをたくさん学ばせていただいたと思っています。

もう1社のWEB制作の仕事は、まず私が個人として受注し、信頼をいただいたところで
「実はグループを主宰しています。大量受注も可能です。安くやります！」
と頼み込み、グループ受注を勝ち取りました。
その会社の担当者Sさんは当時まだお若い（今でもお若いです）おにいちゃんでしたが、拙い技術の私たちをバックアップしてくださり、時には叱咤しながら育ててくださいました。
SOHO KOEDAの今は、Sさんなしにはあり得ないと言うくらいの大恩人です。

ところが、今年になってその会社が終焉を迎えることになってしまったのです。
前年から訳あって取引はなくなっていましたが、突然のことに愕然としました。
「会社」より、あのSさんのことが気がかりでした。

それから数ヶ月の昨日、久しぶりにメールをいただきました。
やっと整理がついたようで、お元気にされているご様子でした。
別のWEB制作会社への入社が決まったそうで、ご活躍されることを期待しています。

Sさんを思うたびに、私は原点を思います。

がむしゃらだったあの頃を思えば、今はまだまだ生ぬるい。
まだまだがんばれるはず！

元気がふつふつと湧いてくるのです。
